Context & Stake

The World and European MMA Championships of IMMAF are the biggest events of the year in the amateur world. Big MMA stars such as Manon Fiorot, Rakhmonov, or Petr Yan passed through IMMAF. Since the end of my apprenticeship at FMMAF, I have been consulted by the French federation to ensure the communication of the event for Team France. It is an honor to be part of it because of the stakes, but also because this period of the year represents the best opportunity for FMMAF to gain visibility. Smart communication and good marketing are key to attracting newcomers, building an FMMAF reputation worldwide, and also gathering French fans.

The Job

To take the precise example of the 2025 World Championships edition, my pre-event mission is to imagine and organize how we can communicate during the event, what strategies to use to attract attention from other federations, from the French community, and from media. When the event starts, it’s a run! Following results live, adapting communication, preparing and anticipating the next day, and creating a motivating atmosphere for fans. For example, at each edition, I slightly adapt the graphic charter to make it unique for each event, and take into account what worked well and what worked less well in previous editions.

Next Step

For now, I have not had the chance to cover it on site. Competitions are often in Serbia or Kazakhstan, but I can’t wait to have the opportunity to do it. I think that will be a great challenge, and I already have a lot of ideas to make this event as real as possible for French fans.
